Dear Friends and Patrons,    Greene Room Productions is very excited to be announcing the Fall 2010 Workshop Schedule.  There are a variety of theatre classes for Ages 6-18. A new class has been added to the Fall's agenda to supplement programs that were available last season.  Check out the options below and feel free to contact Executive Director, Erin Greene, if you have further questions.  Welcome to GRP's Fun Fall Season!!

IMAGINEERING (AGES 5 & 6)
Classes Begin: October 4, 2010  Monday & Wednesdays 3:15-4:15
Imagineering  is an introductory course that teaches the basics of theatre and stage movement and voice, through theatre games, music, and dance. Students are encouraged to be creative, confident, self-starters, leaders, and attentive to detail. Students perform in the Kid's Tour final public performances of "The Grinch" (December 2010). CENTERSTAGE (Ages 7-18)
Classes Begin: October 4th, 2010 for Ages 7-12                              -Tuesdays & Thursdays 3:15-5:30                            October 5th, 2010 for Ages 13-18                              -Monday & Wednesdays 3:15-5:30
Life is a Cabaret! GRP CenterStage actors take the stage demonstrating what they've learned throughout their intensive acting program. Performers explore the difficulties of portraying an array of characters in variety of creatively composed scenes. CenterStage helps students prepare for the audition-only programs, Kids Tour, and GRP Main Stage Productions. Students are introduced to the basics of theatre. i.e. stage voice and movement, posturing, improvisation, and theatre etiquette. Students spend a weekend performing in the, "CenterStage Actor's Cabaret", and will also participate in the Kid's Tour's final public performance the next day. CenterStage Show Information
KIDS TOUR (Ages 7-18)
Classes Begin: October 4th, 2010 Tuesdays & Thursdays 3:15-5:30    Kids Tour is an audition-only acting workshop. Students will delve deeper into the theatre experience, challenging themselves in the development of stage voice, movement, and character development. Students should already have an understanding of basic theatre skills, GRP expectations, and etiquette to support their role as a team-member in the chosen production. Students help produce and act in a theatre production which culminates to a performance tour to local schools, and a final public performance in which friends and family are encouraged to attend.

COMING THIS WINTER!  G.R.I.P. COMEDY IMPROV WKSHP.  AGES 10-Adult  Students learn the art of comedic improvisation, using quick wit to respond to unique, individualized situations. Playing creativity- inducing games teaches students to think on their feet, trust their intuitions, and hone active listening skills to work cooperatively with their cast mates. Participants in each division will work toward developing their improv skills to perform in a final evening of non-stop

One of the longest running off-Broadway musicals is sure to tickle your funny bone when a down-and-out skid row character becomes an overnight sensation and he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. The GRP children's acting troupe, "Kids Tour", performs a musical by the children's author Maurice Sendak, and folk songwriter

Carol King. Acting in the famous scenes of Pierre and The Ballad of Chicken Soup, join our young players as they audition for Rosie's movie and while away a hot summer day.
