The show is a "History of the 1960's British Invasion, Sullivan Show Style". The band presents the biggest hits of the British Invasion era, from 1964 1969, in a format similar to the stage style of the Ed Sullivan Show. The playlist features tunes by superstar groups such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Dave Clark 5, Herman's Hermits, as well as hits by the Hollies, the Yardbirds, Gerry & The Pacemakers, The Zombies, and many others.
The UnionJack show features five Western Mass based musicians performing in period costumes and using vintage instruments: Gary Wilkinson guitar & vocals, Dave Lempke drums & vocals, Les Bowler bass & vocals, Jim Brown lead guitar & vocals, and Jim O'Connor keyboards & vocals. Wilkinson's lead vocals on the classic tunes of the era are the Band's strength. The play list includes tunes that revolutionized rock and roll. This show offers a fun evening of great entertainment for fans of the original British Invasion music along with the generations of music that followed these pioneers of Rock n Roll.
UnionJack has been featured at Foxwoods Casino in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008. They have also appeared locally at The Big E, The Peach Festival, Westside Taste of the Valley, Celebrate Holyoke, Three County Fair, and many others
