Tis the season again!

The beginning of Playhouse on Park’s Main Stage season that is, and we’rekicking it off in style

by bringing to you live

Side by Side by Sondheim,

with Music by StevenSondheim, Julia Styne,

Richard and Mary Rogers, and Lyrics by Steven Sondheim.

This production directed by Melissa Rain Anderson, and music directed by Emmett Drake and Colin Britt presents a celebration of the sophistication, wit, insight, heart and genius

of Broadway's most innovative and influential composer.

This intimate musical review highlights

the early works of Stephen Sondheim featuring songs from Company, Anyone Can Whistle, Follies, Gypsy and much more.

Cast includes Brynn Lucas (Cabaret, Falsettos, Into the Woods); Dana Mierlak (As We Stumble Along, Hair); Meg Richardson (Sweet Charity, L’Enfant Et Les Sortileges); Catherine Rogala (The Wildest, Crimes of the Heart) and Scott Scaffidi (Into the Woods, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof).

Performances are Wednesday, September 8th at 7:30pm (Preview); Thursday, September 9th at 7:30pm (Opening Night, includes a complimentary wine & cheese at 6:30pm); Friday, September 10th and Saturday, September 11th at 8:00pm; Sunday, September 12th at 2:00pm (includes a talk back with the actors following the performance); Thursday, September 16th at 7:30pm; Friday, September 17th and Saturday, September 18th at 8:00pm and Sunday, September 19th at 2:00pm

Tickets range from $22.50 - $32.50; seniors, students and Let’s Go Arts save $2. Preview performance is $15. A student rush ticket is available fifteen minutes before curtain for $10, cash only with a valid student id. Check the website for information about a lunch time special. Tickets may be purchased in person, over the phone or via the internet.

Special event: Join us for a Broadway sing-along immediately following both Saturday night performances (approx 9:50pm – 10pm) featuring dueling pianos. Cost is $5 if you purchase a ticket to any Side by Side by Sondheim performance, $10 if you don’t. BYOB for the sing along.
