Playhouse on Park presents round three of the Connecticut Cage Match; a no-holds barred competition where two improv teams compete head-to-head, and you decide the winner!. Only one team will be victorious and your vote counts.  In this series, last round’s winner returns to defend its title. Bring your friends and come vote for the best improvisation team in this one-to-one matchup.

Round Three pits THE FUNNY STAGES against RECKLESS GENTS

THE FUNNY STAGES, New Haven's premier improv comedy show, has been wowing audiences since 2006.  By infusing popular culture with hilarious improv comedy games, The Funny Stages presents a new and refreshingly different side to the genre.  Their current slate of shows include:  "Survivor: The Improv," "Behind the Music: An Improv History of Your Favorite Band," "Improv: The Musical," "America's Next Great American Superhero (for America)," and "This Just In: You Choose the News, We Make it Up." 

RECKLESS GENTS is an audition-based longform improv and sketch comedy group. The club's goal is to put together performances at UConn, while cultivating the "ensemble" and each individual's skill set with a professional yet playful manner.

The CT Cage Match is a collaboration between Playhouse on Park,

Hole in the Wall Theater and Hot Cocco Productions.
