The Playhouse Theatre Group, Inc. Internship Program is a great way for young theatre professionals to learn and grow both professionally and personally. The Program allows students, graduates, and others to experience a hands-on experience. Participants work in administrative or production departments while Playhouse Theatre Group staff and artists function as mentors, guiding and instructing interns as they make the transition from student to professional. Through daily assignments and duties with a given department, professional development, volunteer opportunities, and free tickets to productions, participants are offered the chance to experience the inner workings of a professional theatre. This year, the following interns will be hired: Costume Intern, Literary Intern, Marketing Intern, Stage Manager Intern, Production Manager Intern and Development Intern. Over the course of their 10 week internship, the interns will be exposed to 4 professional productions and planning for the 2010-11 season.

Playhouse on Park is managed under the direction of Playhouse Theatre Group, Inc. Located in the vibrant Park Road section of West Hartford, Connecticut, the theatre is surrounded by diverse shopping, markets and restaurants and a vast residential neighborhood all within walking distance. The Playhouse on Park theatre space has 163 seats surrounding a 3/4 thrust stage offering audiences of all ages an intimate theatre experience.
